Investment, growth plans, and new leadership signal bright future for De Marchi Engineering
UK metalwork firm, De Marchi Engineering, is looking ahead with confidence following its recent acquisition by Kingfisher Industrial Group. Parent of wear solutions specialist Kingfisher Industrial, the Group is building a growing portfolio of UK-based manufacturing and engineering businesses, with De Marchi its latest addition.
The move marks a new chapter for the Wiltshire-based sheet metal and fabrication business, which has built a strong reputation over the past 30 years for laser cutting, welding, CNC metal fabrication, and quality control services.
Now led by newly-appointed Managing Director Kevin Price, De Marchi is set for a period of significant development and expansionUnder Kingfisher’s ownership, the business has a vision to reach a turnover of £8 million within the next five years, with plans to expand its workforce to around 70 employees, creating new career opportunities in skilled metalwork across Wiltshire and beyond.
Commenting on the vision for De Marchi, Kevin said:
“De Marchi has been delivering an impressive range of capabilities for over 30 years—CNC laser cutting, water jet cutting, plasma cutting, structural fabrication—all supported by the right industry accreditations. It was a natural fit for the Kingfisher portfolio, and our goal now is to build on that strong foundation to deliver even more value to our clients.”
The company is also investing heavily in technology and digital infrastructure to support its growth:
- New ERP system with full shop-floor data capture, going live in Q3 2025
- CRM system to strengthen commercial operations in H2 2025
- Planned automation and robotics investments to drive productivity
- A refreshed digital marketing programme and new website launch planned within the next 12 months
